Team Rooms

A limited amount of team rooms are available. Please contact Luis Salinas  or Barbara Swafford if you are interested in purchasing one for your school or club.

What are team rooms and why should you consider purchasing one?

Team rooms are used as a central base of operations for a team. This is useful as your kids will not be running around the hotel but will be in one central location when they are done with their games. It is easier to keep track of the team's players and to make sure that the players do not get lost or in trouble. A team room allow for a coach or hired instructor to more easily go over the student's games without other players or teams interrupting or scouting.

Team rooms also allow for one or two responsible individuals to watch over and care for whole team. Outside food is usually not allowed, but sometimes the hotels have a contract with certain pizza places and will allow pizzas to be delivered. I will post more information about this as it becomes available. Generally the hotel provides water stations for the team rooms.  If internet access is required, there will be an extra charge.

Where are the team rooms located?  The team rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the Hilton Americas Hotel. The main tournament playing areas are on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.

Are table and chairs included in the room?  Yes table and chairs are included, note that the hotel uses most of the tables for the playing area, so you may have to get two x18" tables to make a table. Or if the hotel runs short, they may put cocktail rounds. These hold one chess set. Hotels also like giving round tables for the parents. Please let me know your requirements and we will do our best.

•  Room 336, cost is $450 + $525 = $975. Tentative - T H Rogers

•  Room 336A, approx. 26.67' x 27.58', 793 sq. ft., cost = $450. 

•  Room 336B, approx. 26.67' x 28.92', 832 sq. ft., cost = $525.

•  Room 337, cost is $375 + $475 = $850.Tentative - Americo Paredes Elem/Vela MS

•  Room 337A approx. 26.67' x 23.67', 660 sq. ft., cost = $375.

•  Room 337B approx. 26.67' x 27.58', 793 sq. ft., cost = $475.

•  Room 344,  cost is  $350 + $325 = $675.

•  Room 344A,  approx.  27.58' x 19.5', 584 sq. ft., cost = $350. Tentative - Hanna High School

•  Room 344B,  approx.  27.58' x 19.5', 550 sq. ft., cost = $325. Tentative - Ruben Hinojosa Elementary

•  Room 346, cost is $375 + $350 = $725. Tentative - Hudson Elementary

•  Room 346A, approx. 27.58' x 19.5', 622 sq. ft., cost = $375

•  Room 346B, approx. 28.67' x 19.5', 574 sq ft., cost = $350

•  Rooms 336, 337, 344 and 346 may be sold individually or as two different rooms (A and B parts can be different team rooms.)

•  Team rooms will be sold at a first come and first serve basis.
